Responsibilities: Performs an initial assessment and provides a peri-operative plan of care Incorporates patient/family education into the peri-operative plan of care for post procedure follow-up Assists with the flow of the patient through the continuum of care in the outpatient environment Collaborates with physicians and other health care providers when changes in condition, diagnostic results and other pertinent information may impede procedure Ability to adapt to various care settings and function in an independent role from admit through recovery and discharge care Provides age appropriate care to all patient populations for which staff member is responsible and trained
